Joe Slaughter

Deputy General Counsel & Head of Litigation

Joe joined Hunterbrook from Ballard Spahr LLP, where he was a partner at the leading media, entertainment, and First Amendment practice in the country. In addition to his news media work, he is a litigator with substantial experience in matters involving government enforcement defense, internal investigations, antitrust, securities, labor and employment, copyright and trademark, bankruptcy, real estate, and general commercial litigation. Joe previously clerked for then-District Judge (now Supreme Court Justice) Ketanji Brown Jackson and was associated with the firms Kobre & Kim LLP and Boies Schiller Flexner LLP. He has a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in literature from Yale University. Joe is based in New York.
